Facebook Launches Video Calling Feature: Facebook and Skype have teamed up to provide video calling capabilities fully embedded inside the Facebook platform. We all received the news flash but it would have been nice if they would have told us what areas have it and what areas don’t. Instead people are creating a lot of buzz about nothing. It feels something like a promotion or store sale that when you arrive they tell you the product is on back order. C’mon Facebook you got the money to provide some helpful info. How many of you think this product debut is lame? Don’t get me wrong I love Skype and I love Facebook I just don’t think this is how you come out with something new.

Is your Website or Blog Ready for Social Media?

As a Social media marketer and strategist my number one problem when taking on a new client is dealing with their website or blog. It is incredible how many sites simply are not prepared for a real social media campaign. What good are all those well thought of and public engaging posts, status, and tweets if they send you to a “dead” boring site. Here are some quick tips.
1.    Pay to have your site redesigned by someone who understands Social  Media
2.    Get a video or a PowerPoint slide presentation on the front page
3.    Add Images which will attract the public to your product on the front page.
4.   Check your link in Facebook to see what your image choices are (It will scare you)
5.    Forget a contact us category Get your Contact info on the Front page
Without a good Social media optimization of your front page your site is dead in the water when it comes to engaging and keeping customers and clients coming to your site daily.
